Google Toolbar 7

Google Toolbar 7, as it appears in Internet Explorer 9

Google's latest iteration of their popular toolbar is available now, with several new features. New features and changes are detailed below:

Personalized Toolbar. The Google Toolbar learns what you use the most from its features, and arranges buttons in a manner where you can access what you want immediately. Buttons and commands that are used less frequently are hidden behind the 'More' button, so they are still easily accessed should they be needed.

Improved Privacy Settings. The latest version of Google Toolbar makes managing your personal privacy settings easier. While the Toolbar does need to communicate with Google in order to pull some Google information, such as PageRank, this can be disabled in order to ensure your complete privacy on the web.

Speed Increase. Google have honed their latest version of the Toolbar so that it is one of the lighter extensions for the browser, meaning it does not impact on the performance of Internet Explorer.

If you already use an existing version of the Google Toolbar you will be automatically updated to version 7 sometime in the next few weeks, though it can also be downloaded directly from Google's own website, in order to completely skip the update process.
