Grab Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition for 40% off

While Blizzard is taking the developers of Heroes of Warfare to court over an alleged knockoff of its hit game, Overwatch, which took top honors at The Game Awards last year, there's a new deal that might just tempt holdouts into buying it for themselves.

For a limited time, Newegg is slashing 40% off the regular price of the PC version of Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition. Normally going for $60, the promo code "EMCBRBD25" brings the price down to just $36, a mere $6 more expensive than the standard version of the game. Perks of going for the GOTY version include 10 loot boxes, vintage hero skins, and more, once you get the game up and running.

However, there are a couple of catches to the offer. First up, the discount only applies to physical copies of the game, which means you'll be left waiting until some time after the weekend to dive into Overwatch. The second condition is that unless you've already received a discount code via Newegg's promotional email list, you can avail yourself of the offer by providing your email address in the "Apply Promo Codes" section at checkout.

If you're still enticed by the offer in spite of the above, then you've got until the end of Thursday, October 19 to take advantage of the discount and join the more than 30 million players battling it out online in Overwatch.
