Following the launch of Trinity on mobile platforms four months ago, AMD is finally ready to offer a desktop version, which brings a new socket and a new high-end chipset.
AMD reported that its revenues for the second quarter of 2012 came in at $1.41 billion, 10 percent lower compared to a year ago. It generated a $37 million profit, compared to $61 million a year ago.
