HP releases Windows 8 printing and image app

As more and more people gain access to Windows 8, new apps are also appearing in the Windows Store. One of those new apps comes directly from HP, giving owners of the company's many printers some direct Windows 8 support.

The HP Scan and Capture Windows 8 app is, according to HP's own description, "a simple and fun application that captures photos or documents from an HP All-in-One or your computer's built-in camera. These images can be previewed, saved, printed or shared to other applications."

The app can save images as JPG files and can also create single or multi-page PDF documents. The app's Windows Store listing also has a list of all the HP printers that are supported.
