ImgBurn 2.5.7.0

ImgBurn is a free lightweight CD / DVD / HD DVD / Blu-ray burning application that everyone should have in their toolkit! It supports a wide range of image file formats - including BIN, CUE, DI, DVD, GI, IMG, ISO, MDS, NRG and PDI, as well as Unicode folder/file names, so you shouldn't run in to any problems if you're using an international character set. The software supports all the Windows OS's - Windows 95, 98, Me, NT4, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, and 2008 (including all the 64-bit versions). If you use Wine, it should also run on Linux and other x86-based Unixes.

The Ask toolbar is nothing new for ImgBurn; you can bypass this by extracting the installer with 7-Zip or the like.

ApnStub.exe
ApnIC.dll
ApnToolbarInstaller.exe

All three in $TEMP inside installer. If you have ASK already installed, it won't be shown during installation.

I don't have Ask installed and the installer made no reference to it at all, no option or anything. I just installed it again though and checked the temp folder and you are right that those files are there. They are not running or installing on my system though; perhaps it can't install because of my firewall.

In any case the fact that they make absolutely no mention of it or have an opt out option is downright deceptive. I don't like bundled toolbars anyway but trying to install them behind people's backs without telling them, wtf? My opinion of this company has gone way down.

I don't know what you downloaded but there was no Ask Toolbar listed anywhere in the installer and no apnstub.exe was installed on my system.

ASK Toolbar, Opt-In, included. ApnStub.exe connects to Internet, on installation start, without user permission.
