Intellivision Productions Inc., a pioneer in personal video games consoles, has teamed with Crave Entertainment and Realtime Associates to bring us the Intellivision Lives! console game for the Xbox and PlayStation 2. Intellivision Lives! is loaded with more than 60 of the classic Intellivision games that made the company such a ground breaking leader in the console industry before Break Dancing swept the nation.
Intellivision Lives! places the gamer in a virtual reality, 360-degree representation of Hal's Pizza circa 1982. Arcade style machines line the walls and each supports a series of games based off a common theme such as sports, space and battle.
"We are extremely excited to be the company to introduce these classic Intellivision games to a whole new generation of video game players," said Nima Taghavi, chief executive officer of Crave Entertainment. "Today¹s games may be big on graphics and special effects, but they can never come close to capturing the endearing nostalgia and fun that Intellivision has kept alive for over 20 years."
Available in stores today, Intellivision Lives! has a suggested retail price of $19.95 and is available for the Xbox and PlayStation 2.
