The K-Lite Codec Pack is designed as a user-friendly solution for playing all your audio and movie files. With the K-Lite Codec Pack you should be able to play all the popular audio and video formats and even several less common formats.

K-Lite Codec Pack standard variant contains everything you need to play all the common video file formats. It contains Media Player Classic, which is an excellent player for video files. It also has (better) support for playback of DVDs. This pack is recommended for the average user.

What's new in this version:

I should've posted that I used to use K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, until I discovered Shark007, and have had no problems since.

Was going to comment on this yesterday when I first saw it. but thought I'd wait to see what anyone else says.

I always wondered if I was the only one who had issues with this thing?

Not sure how you all have trouble with installing this.. It does everything for you, has options to completely remove old codecs/settings, and is fully optional with every codec it offers.

Back when I used huge packs like this and CCCP, I never had any issues installing them. Sure, Klite was a joke of a software package like 5 years ago, but it's about the same as any other of its ilk these days

Every time I've every installed the Klite codec pack, something goes wrong and I have to uninstall it. Every time.
