It seems like only yesterday that the Internet was rife with speculation surrounding the mysterious Metal Gear teaser site, but today the covers have been lifted and Konami have confirmed Metal Gear Solid Touch for the iPhone and the iPod touch.
A spin-off of Metal Gear Solid 4, gameplay is driven by the touch screen, with swipes and pinching gestures familiar to regular iPhone users, apparently making it so easy that anyone can play. The game is due for release in Spring 2009 in North America, Japan and Europe.
Also announced are DanceDanceRevolution S Lite, Silent Hill: The Escape, and Furogga. All three will see a late Decemeber release in all three major territories, except for DanceDanceRevolution S Lite, which won't be released in Europe.
