Microsoft and Amazon are offering heavy deals on Huawei's MateBook

If you were considering picking up Huawei's MateBook Windows 10 tablet, now might be the time. The base model is on sale right now for just $399 at the Microsoft Store and Amazon, where it's normally priced at $699 and $565.87, respectively.

All models are on sale at the Microsoft Store, whereas only two are discounted at Amazon. Here's the full price list, with links to the listings:

Store Model Price
Microsoft Store Core m3/4GB RAM/128GB SSD $399
Amazon
Microsoft Store Core m5/4GB RAM/128GB SSD $549
Amazon
Microsoft Store Core m5/8GB RAM/256GB SSD $699
Microsoft Store Core m5/8GB RAM/512GB SSD $899

Note that as it is right now, it's actually cheaper to get the top-of-the-line model from the Microsoft Store than to get the Core m5 device with 256GB storage from Amazon, which still costs $979.99.

Additionally, Microsoft is offering $10 off of the Portfolio Keyboard, MateDock, and MatePen, bringing their prices down to $99, $79, and $49, respectively. The deal on the keyboard will only be until March 28, but the other two items don't show an expiration date.

Speaking of which, today is the last day to get these deals on the MateBook from Amazon. Microsoft, however, will continue its sale until March 20.

If Android is more your style, Huawei's MediaPad tablets are also on sale from NewEgg. The T1 and M2 are both $50 off, so you can grab a T1 7 for $49, a T1 10 for $109, or an M2 10 for $299. Today is the last day for those deals.

Huawei announced the MateBook last February at Mobile World Congress 2016, launching it in the US in June. It seems possible that the firm may be clearing out some inventory for a second-generation model, which would likely be updated with Intel's Kaby Lake processors.
