Nokia teases smartphone announcement with new video

Nokia reportedly has a lot to announce next week at the World Mobile Congress trade show in Barcelona, Spain. Today Nokia released a new video that gives us a tease of at least one of those new devices. The video shows various snow covered landscapes while showing off terms like "Pure detail", "Pure depth", and "pure definition."

It sounds like this new smartphone might have a camera that will contain more than just the usual features. An earlier Internet rumor claimed that Nokia has plans to reveal what the report called the Nokia 808 PureView. If true, we expect to see some impressive camera features in this new smartphone.

The video says that the full reveal will happen on Monday, February 27 which is the first day of the Mobile World Congress. Nokia is also expected to announce a number of other phones during the trade show. One of them could be what's being called the Lumia 610, a smaller and cheaper Windows Phone device. There's already a lot of speculation about this new device but so far Nokia has officially not confirmed or denied these stories. We should learn a lot more about Nokia's plans in less than a week.

It will be very interesting to see what they end up showing off... I can't wait to see what all these rumors are about...

Perhaps those photos were taken with the phone in question?

I think so, too. There was a rumour from Engadget, about the last Nokia Symbian smartphone with the one the largest CMOS sensor (image sensor) ever put inside a phone.

i got nothing out of that video... except i kinda want to go snow boarding.... was that the tease they were going for?
