  • A new stand-alone update-checker, as part of a planned upgrade of the auto-update system
  • Improved protection against hijacking of the default search, including a one-time reset


  • Fixed an issue where DOM events manipulation might be used to execute arbitrary code, as reported by Arthur Gerkis; see our advisory

Yes, it completely ripped off features such as tabbed browsing from chrome by pioneering them before chrome had even been conceptualized.

Been using Opera since version 5, for the most part. Remember those ads?

Easily the fastest AND most secure browser out of the box and not so buggy that it has to be updated twice a week like Chrome!! Also, unlike Chrome and Firefox, no other phoning home or who knows where, other than checking for updates, unless you change that.

Glad they got rid of that stupid Unite crap!! At least I'm not seeing it anywhere anymore.

From what i've seen this whole "opera ice" thing appears to be a complete rumor at this point in time anyway, there has been absolutely no mention or announcement of "opera ice" from any official opera source, only on tech news sites that all got the info from a now-defunct youtube video.
