But do you have to click each one, download and install the exe file? Patchmypc updates every program it finds out of date with 1 click..

yes, you do have to do that. For me personally I prefer that, but I can understand the ease of use for 1 button clicking. I wasn't trying to say Patchmypc is bad, I was just giving an alternative--nothing more.

i downloaded this app yet because i care if at at least served its purpose despite the most ugly ui in history. I DO NOT REALLY UNDERSTAND NOTHING !??? WHAT IS THAT, WHERE DO I HAVE TO CLICK AND WHAT IS IT DOING. it has really annoyed me.

I use SUMo do check for Updates and Now DDownloads to download them

I have a lot of software on my computer that is portable. Secunia PSI wanted to download and install updates for a bunch of them. But rather than updating the portable version, it would have put the installer version on my PC. That would have been a fun mess to clean up had I let it install updates automatically.

And when I installed Secunia PSI, I chose to only be notified, and not download or install anything automatically, yet the bugger started updating my programs immediately after the first scan. Bad installer. Bad!

Are you talking about this same software? It really looks awful, supports very few apps and the user interface is just horrible, it even comes with easily spottable ortographic errors in the menus. Nowhere close as other similar software like Microsoft Baseline Analyzer of Secunia PSI (also for third-party software) that are on a completely different level.
