PAQ format is good for extra compression but in real world it's not really practical simply because the time required to compress/decompress is not worth it overall unless all that matters is the smallest file size.

but in general all you really need is either .rar or .7z (i prefer .7z since it's basically better than rar in most cases and it's free)
