ProtonVPN Beta Program now available to all users

ProtonVPN has announced that its ProtonVPN Beta Program is now available for all users. The programme as you’ll probably guess, lets people get an advanced preview of features before they land in a stable release of the software. Everyone on Windows, macOS, and Android VPN app are able to join the Beta Program.

Discussing the Beta Program in a blog post, ProtonVPN said:

“We have already implemented our Android Beta Program for ProtonVPN. Today, we are expanding the ProtonVPN Beta Program to also include our macOS and Windows clients. The Beta Program gives you early access to new servers, UI updates, stability improvements, and more. Whenever our developers release new versions of these applications to our team for internal testing, you will receive updates at the exact same time. We are doing this so we can get your feedback about new features and product changes earlier, and take your input into account for the public releases.”

Joining the Beta Program is super easy on both Windows and Mac, simply head to Settings or Preferences respectively then enable Early Access and flip the toggle so it is switched on. After you’ve done this you’ll be prompted to update the app when updates become available. The Android Beta Program, as mentioned earlier, has been around since February, if you need a reminder on how to join that Beta Program refer back to our previous coverage.

Once you’re registered with the Beta Program, you will receive updates automatically but it’s also possible to manually check for updates, refer to this guide to learn how to do manual updates.
