Rainbow Six Vegas PC 1.02 Patch Released!

An early Xmas present for Rainbow Six Vegas PC owners! A new shiny and freshly prepared 1.02 patch has been released for the amazing tactical FPS Rainbow Six Vegas. The PC version gets some loving this time around (the coming Xbox 360 patch will address many of the same issues) and this patch fixes many of the more annoying little bugs the game unfortunately shipped with. You can use the auto-update feature, but if you prefer downloading yourself you can do so as well. The patch fixes the following:
  • Fixed a crash when player is kicked from server.
  • Fixed a crash when fetching online matches (quick and custom search).
  • Fixed a crash/freeze that occurred after many games have been played.
  • Fixed a problem when switching from Online to LAN mode.
  • Fixed the freeze issue after the Unreal logo related to the Language for non-Unicode programs setting.
  • Throwing a grenade on a player using a turret will now apply damage.
  • Removed Eye Adaptation. Radar jammer now jams all players.
  • Fixed map rotation issue on dedicated servers.
  • Fixed the choppy Ubisoft logo animation when the game starts.
  • Reduced lag with in-game videos on certain computers.
  • Many Tutorial-related inaccuracies have been corrected.
  • Fixed a dedicated server crash related to equipment.
  • Fixed the cursor being stuck in desktop sub-react after an ALT-TAB.
  • Version number will now be displayed to the user in the main menu.
  • Fixed a bug while observing a game where while using the joystick, the A button was not displayed properly.
  • Fixed controller problem where wrong button was assigned to exit turrets.
  • Fixed the missing grenades and ammo when going from Realistic to Normal mode. Also if you are interested about finding out about the current dedicated servers head over to this forum topic for more info
So there you have it folks, a nice new patch that fixes many of the major issues the game currently has on PC. The patch clocks in at about 79 megs, and as I said you can automagically get the patch through the auto-update the game has. For those of you who do not want to download through the auto-update, there is currently only one mirror which I will add at the end of this post. If you guys find more mirrors, and I'm sure there will be, feel free to add them in the comments as always. So enjoy the new patch, I know I sure will!
