Rogers gets Canadian exclusive to Nokia Lumia 920

On Thursday, AT&T confirmed it will have the exclusive on selling Nokia's upcoming Lumia 920 smartphone in the US. Today, Canadian wireless provider Rogers announced a similar exclusive for resident in that country for the launch of Nokia's high end Windows Phone 8-based smartphone.

The Rogers press release also confirmed the Lumia 920 would be able to connect to Rogers' faster LTE network. However, the company did not offer up any pricing details, nor did it give a specific launch date, saying they would reveal those particular details at a later time. AT&T has confirmed it will begin selling the Lumia 920 sometime in November.

Today's announcement from Rogers did not mention anything about if the carrier will also sell Nokia's other Windows Phone 8-based smartphone, the lower end Lumia 820; there's been no word from any of Canada's wireless providers when or even if they will offer the Lumia 820. In the US, AT&T has confirmed it will also sell the Lumia 820, but again did not give out pricing details. We will offer news alerts when Rogers and AT&T announce their official pricing and launch dates for the Lumia 920.
