Samsung launches the Galaxy Tab Active Pro Enterprise Edition in the UK

Samsung announced today the release of the Galaxy Tab Active Pro Enterprise Edition in the UK. The tablet can be purchased online from today, though only business customers can buy it.

The Galaxy Tab Active Pro Enterprise Edition includes the same specs as the consumer variant unveiled in late October. It sports a 10.1-inch display with a 1920x1200 resolution. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card.

It also includes a 13MP camera at the back and an 8MP front shooter. Its video capability supports up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second. The tablet's only difference from the consumer variant is that the Enterprise Edition supports network connectivity of up to LTE only.

Joe Walsh, B2B Director for Samsung Electronics UK, said:

“We’re delighted to announce the Tab Active Pro, a natural evolution from the Tab Active 2 which builds on the heritage of our Rugged portfolio. Its rugged design and features allow for broader implementation of the transformational digital solutions that were previously out of reach for many companies. With the Tab Active Pro, employees can be more productive in challenging environments and companies can ensure their data stays secure with Samsung Knox.”

The device's 7600mAh battery can keep the tablet running for up to 15 hours of video playback or up to 45 hours of talk time. Also, it includes support for Samsung DeX for a PC-like experience by connecting it to an external display. It features Samsung’s Knox security platform as well for quick management and deployment of security updates across an organization.
