Sony switches out two of its indie PS4 launch titles with two new ones

"Blacklight: Retribution" is now a launch title for the PS4.

Sony warned last week when it posted its PlayStation 4 launch day game lineup that the list could change before the release date of November 15 arrives, and that's indeed what has happened. Sony has already added "Need For Speed Rivals" to the PS4 game launch list, and on Wednesday it updated its FAQ page again, removing two indie titles and replacing them with two new ones.

The page now says that "Pinball Arcade" and "Tiny Brains" won't be ready for the US PS4 launch in eight days; no reason was given and no new release date for those titles were announced. However, two new games are taking their place on the roster. One is "Blacklight: Retribution", the free-to-play first person shooter that's developed by Zombie Studios. The other is "Trine 2: The Complete Story", the side scroller-puzzle game from developer Frozenbyte.

So here is the updated list of the 23 games that, at the moment, Sony says will be available to play for the PS4 in eight days:

  • Madden NFL 25-EA Sports
  • NBA 2K14-2K Sports
