Microsoft has confirmed that Google will end support for new Windows 8 and Windows RT devices to connect to Gmail via Exchange ActiveSync today, but does offer some workarounds for this issue.
Microsoft has revealed that Google will now extend its Gmail support for the Exchange ActiveSync protocol for new Windows Phone device until July 31st, rather than ending EAS support today.
Currently some users are experiencing issues with accessing Hotmail and Outlook.com on mobile devices, as issues with Exchange ActiveSync have persisted for several days without a fix
Microsoft has reminded people once again that its new Outlook.com email service supports Exchange Active Sync, while also slamming Google for removing support for EAS for its Gmail service.
