Microsoft has publicly posted the release notes for the first Windows Phone 8 firmware update, otherwise known by its code name "Portico", with improvements for messaging, Internet Explorer and more.
The first software update for Windows Phone 8, code named "Portico", could be released later today for Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 from AT&T and for T-Mobile's Windows Phone 8X.
Just over a week ago it was revealed that the first major update for Windows Phone 8 would land in the first quarter of 2013 and that update is codenamed Apollo+, not so according to one source.
