Tiger Telematics acquires Warthog

Today Tiger Telematics announced that they have aquired Warthog. Warthog is a UK-based game developer. This $1.1 millionn deal is expected to bring Warthog's game library to its handheld system. The Gizmondo mobile gaming device, which launced in UK stores today, may also benefit from Tusk, Warthog's proprietary game engine porting software, allowing quick conversation of games to the handheld format.

Warthog's previous efforts include Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter, and Looney Tunes Back in Action. Warthog's first game for Gizmondo, Richard Burns Rally, will be on display this weekend at the Best of Stuff show in London. A global release of the handheld system is planned for 2005.
