Winrar for those that want to pay.
7Zip for those that don't.
Winzip for those that want to feel nostalgic
I'll give Peazip a cookie for being most determined runner up.
We really don't need any other archivers. IMHO

I used to use WinZip back in the day. I moved on to Winrar and 7Zip. I've used others but once you use to something and it just works, it's kind of silly to trade off for unknown new shinies. Winrar/7Zip for me until they prove themselves unworthy...which I kind of don't really see happening anytime soon.

I love the interface, but I'm sticking with Winrar. This would probably be a great program for people who don't even know what a zip is, though.

Gotta agree there. I haven't even checked out 7Zip even though i keep hearing how much better it is. WinRAR does what it needs to do and does it good.

I'm looking for a word that means "purposely ignorant" and "stupid" as a result. Any ideas?

there are to many zip/unzip programs

they all offer basically the same functionality

why people bother keep creating clones amazes me

How is this easier than right clicking a file and choosing to extract it, something every archive utility has offered since Windows 95? In addition I can see that it's nagware so no thanks.
