Wikipedia adds watchlists to mobile web app

You can now favourite Wikipedia pages on the move thanks to an update to the Wikipedia web app. The watchlist is available to everyone who signs up for an account, and Wikipedia's mobile web team has released the ability to log in or create an account plus view or add pages to your watchlist right from your mobile device.

The watchlist helps Wikipedia articles stay up to date and accurate, allowing users to track any changes of their articles and protect them from spammers and troublemakers.

The watchlist is the backbone of Wikipedia’s quality. Most people don’t realize that the articles they read are constantly being modified, sometimes hundreds of thousands of times, by volunteer contributors from all over the world.

Wikimedia also says they will soon be building and releasing features that allow anyone to add photos to articles, make small edits and more, you can sign up to the mailing list for more information.

Wikimedia also announced that they had three billion mobile page views to their projects last month and due to this they want to provide important features like those mentioned above to users on their choice of internet-enabled devices.
