Windows Phone advert highlights rooms, HTC 8X

Staying connected to friends and family has been made much easier with the explosion of smartphone adoption around the world. One feature of Windows Phone 8 that helps you stay connected with groups of friends or family within your contact list is called "Rooms."

When a room is set up with a list of contacts, it allows users to easily share content quickly with the pre-defined list of individuals. The rooms saves users the hassle of having to manually add family members to share items, something that makes content sharing much faster with Windows Phone 8.

Rooms is only one of the many features that the Windows Phone team has developed to help set Windows Phone apart from the other platforms. The 30-second clip above is neatly trimmed, making it a possible candidate for a television commercial.

Windows Phone 8 has received a big push this year and with the Lumia 928 likely to launch on Verizon in the very near future, Windows Phone adoption does not show any signs of slowing.
