Windows Phone gets updated Facebook app

No matter what smartphone you own, the Facebook app is always one of the most used and downloaded for any such device. Windows Phone users should be able to download a new version of the Facebook app to a new version from the Windows Phone marketplace. The update, version 2.3, has a number of new features and changes that have suggested by Windows Phone Facebook users.

According to a post on the Windows Phone Facebook page, the new 2.3 version has a new panorama design along with a new profile design. There have also been some improvements in the app's news feed performance along with improvements in navigating through the app. Users can now check out Facebook Groups for the first time in the Windows Phone version as well as visit individual pages. You can finally view who has "liked" one of your Facebook comments or posts in the 2.3 version of the app.

Other changes include adding feed filters, adding support for posting privacy as well as a number of bug fixes.

The Windows Phone Marketplace has been slowly expanding on the number of apps it has to sell and download, although the pace has accelerated in the past few months. In late January it was reported that over 60,000 apps had been released for Windows Phone users.
