Windows XP SP1 1081 released to testers

Thanks netscrape for this one. It seems that 1081 has been released to testers, yep the same build (number) that was leaked to the web late last week

Bink also tells me theres an update to the timeline: Windows XP Service Pack 1 release candidate was not signed off as expected on Wednesday 24th July. The updated release dates are as follows:

Product Group RC Date signoff - Friday 2nd August

RC Product starts to appear on global DDS servers - Saturday 3rd August

Target ITG client launch date - Wednesday 7th August

Looks like Microsoft are on track to deliver a late August RTW of SP1 for Windows XP

If you are a tester, get on over to windowsbetaweb to download your copy of XP SP1 and tell us if its any good.
