Xiaomi has announced that people who buy one of the new Xiaomi devices will be able to get three months of YouTube Premium as part of their purchase. The Chinese firm is offering the free trial as part of a partnership with YouTube. While many people will allow their new subscription to lapse back to a free account, YouTube will be hoping that some people find value in YouTube Premium and continue their subscription.
Commenting on the offer, Hanson Han, Director of Business Development at Xiaomi International, said:
“With users consuming more and more online video content every year, we believe it is important to let users experience quality content in new ways. We're happy to work with YouTube to allow Xiaomi customers to watch the content they love uninterrupted. We hope this will be the beginning of a long standing relationship between us and YouTube that will ultimately benefit our users.”

According to Xiaomi’s dedicated page, to take advantage of this offer you just need to buy an eligible phone, open the YouTube app on your new smartphone, and follow the instructions to redeem. The redemption period is due to end on February 28th according to the website.
