The James Bond game that the Hitman series developer IO Interactive is building is releasing later this year, and today, the company gave a hint at what PC players will want to have in their rigs to have a smooth experience. 007 First Light has Nvidia as a technology partner too.
The high-octane action game has players taking the role of Bond in his debut as a secret agent. So far, gameplay snippets have shown off massive gun battles, drawn-out set pieces, and even driving segments. The game is in development using the studio"s own Glacier engine, the same sandbox that the latest Hitman games use. IO says that major advancements have been made to the engine to make a cinematic game like 007 First Light a possibility.
"Our partnership with NVIDIA on 007 First Light allows us to deliver a PC experience that matches the level of quality we believe the Bond franchise deserves," says Ulas Karademir, CTO at IO Interactive. "Performance, responsiveness, and visual fidelity, it all needs to feel effortless for the player, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX technologies including DLSS 4 enables us to deliver exactly that."
The system requirements that were shared today by the developer focus on 1080p gameplay. The minimum specifications target 30FPS, and only need a GTX 1660 or equivalent. Hitting 60 FPS will need an RTX 3060 Ti or equivalent at the least, which isn"t a high-end card by any means. Unfortunately, no information has been shared on the graphics settings used or how higher-resolution gameplay fares with the hardware.
