This Amazon Prime Day 2025, Crucial is offering its external 4TB X10 Pro SSD for only $230 which makes it a great buy considering the drive can push data at up to 2000 MB/s. And it is not just external SSDs, the company is also offering the P310 (2280) 4TB for a price of $235(non-heatsink one is just $199 with Amazon Prime).
However, not everyone may have the budget for it. As such, if you are willing to spend around just $100 for an external drive, then Crucial"s X9 2TB SSD is now available for just $103 (purchase link down below).
Crucial promises up to 1050 MB/s on the X9 for both the sequential speed metrics. To enable such speeds, the SSD supports USB 3.2 interface and comes with a type-C to type-C USB cable in the box.
In terms of durability, the X9 packs IP55 water and dust resistance and the firm claims that the drive"s drop-proof durability is up to 7.5 feet or just over 2 meters. The X9 has a lanyard hole.
Keep in mind that the X9 comes with QLC (quad-level cell) NAND flash, unlike the X10 Pro linked above (that is TLC), and thus it may not be ideal for constant sustained reads and writes due to QLC"s inherent lower endurance. However, it should still be great for occasional bursts for long durations and backups (Speaking of backup, check this 24 TB Seagate CMR HDD deal for just $245).
