A new color variant of the BlackBerry KEYone has been revealed in hands-on images

Back in February, TCL unveiled its BlackBerry-branded smartphone, the KEYone. The phone featured a physical QWERTY keyboard below the display and came only in a silver-black combo color scheme. Fans of matte-black devices can now rejoice as recently leaked hands-on pictures of an all-black KEYone indicate that a new color option for the phone may be arriving soon.

The phone - possibly a prototype - can be seen in the black matte finish without the silver accents of the current device. Although there is no official statement regarding this color variant, there are rumors circling around that it may head to China on August 8.

The key specs of BlackBerry KEYone include:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 625
  • 3GB RAM
  • 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 256GB through microSD card)
  • 4.5-inch display with the resolution of 1080 x 1620 pixels
  • 12MP rear camera that supports up to 4K video recording at 30fps

  • 8MP front-facing shooter with 1080p video recording

  • 3505mAh battery

  • Fingerprint sensor

  • Physical QWERTY keyboard

  • USB 3.1 Type-C port

It is unclear that how much truth the rumors hold about the new color variant but having another color option would certainly not hurt.
