Acer held its Next@Acer event today in Brooklyn, where it announced a wide range of new PCs. Among them is the all-new ConceptD lineup, which is aimed at creators. The lineup includes desktops, laptops, convertibles, monitors, and even a VR headset.

The two desktops include the ConceptD 900 and ConceptD 500. The 900 offers a dual Intel Xeon Gold 6148 CPU, with 40 cores and 80 threads, and Nvidia Quadro RTX 6000 graphics. Externally, it"s differentiated from the white ConceptD 500 with its matte black chassis. You can also configure it with up to 192GB RAM with its 12 slots.

The 500 only has four DDR4 DIMM slots, supporting up to 64GB RAM. You can get it with up to an Intel Core i9-9900K and Quadro RTX 4000 graphics.

The ConceptD 900 is coming to North America in May starting at $19,999, EMEA in June starting at €17,999, and China in December starting at ¥259,999. The ConceptD 500 is more budget-friendly, coming to North America in June starting at $1,699, EMEA in July starting at €2,799, and China in July starting at ¥20,999.

“With our new Creator Ready Drivers, the NVIDIA Quadro RTX series GPUs will help creators accelerate their workflows on Acer’s ConceptD PCs,” said Sandeep Gupte, Director of Professional Visualization marketing at NVIDIA Corp. “Combined with the reliability of the Quadro GPU platform, Acer’s creator-optimized PCs will help creators focus on letting their creativity flow.”

ConceptD 9

What you see above is the ConceptD 9, a convertible that has a 17.3-inch 4K display that you can flip over. It also packs a ninth-generation Intel Core i9 processor, although the model number is unknown, probably because Intel hasn"t announced mobile ninth-generation CPUs yet. For graphics, you can get it with up to an Nvidia GeForce 2080 GPU, as Nvidia doesn"t have mobile Quadro RTX GPUs yet.

And then there"s the ConceptD 7, which is a similar device but in a clamshell form factor. The screen is a bit smaller at 15.6 inches, but it still has a 4K resolution. It comes with a GeForce RTX 2080 with Max-Q design, or an RTX 2060.

ConceptD 5

The ConceptD 5 uses Intel"s Kaby Lake G 8th-gen CPUs, which includes dedicated AMD Radeon graphics on the die. It also comes with a 15.6-inch 4K display.

The ConceptD 9 will be available in North America in June starting at $4,999, EMEA in August starting at €4,999, and China in August starting at ¥49,999. The ConceptD 7 will arrive in North America in April starting at $2,299, EMEA in July starting at €2,299, and China in May starting at ¥19,999. The ConceptD 5 will be available in North America in April starting at $1,699, EMEA in July starting at €1,699, and China in June starting at ¥12,999.

“The ConceptD product portfolio was conceived to give creators the tools to focus on the creative process and make beautiful things,” said Jerry Kao, Co-COO, Acer Inc. “As the foundation of a full line of creator products, we’ve designed PCs with high-performance processors and graphics that can handle extreme workloads, and put them inside quiet, minimalist designs to inspire creators to unleash their creativity.”

But that"s not all. Acer announced the ConceptD Headset, a VR head-mounted display that has two 2.89-inch 2160x2160 displays, something previously only seen from HP"s Reverb.

There are also a couple of 4K monitors. The ConceptD CM7321K has a 32-inch screen and a 60Hz refresh rate, along with a 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The CM7271K has a 27-inch screen and a 144Hz refresh rate.

The ConceptD CM7321K 32-inch Monitor will be available in North America in September starting at $2,999, EMEA in September starting at €3,199, and China in August starting at ¥29,999.
