Earlier today we published the review of the Intel Core Ultra 270K Plus and the 250K Plus. We compared them to AMD"s 9950X3D, and it also represented the 9800X3D and 9850X3D in gaming mode.
We found that the Intel CPU was impressive for the price and it looks like AMD also realized it. As such, the company"s 9800X3D, the previous gaming flagship chip from Team Red has been reduced today to its lowest ever price as the SKU is priced currently at just $420 (purchase link under the specs table down below).
Despite Intel"s new desktop CPUs, Team Blue has no answer to the sheer gaming prowess of the X3D AMD Ryzen CPUs as you can see in our new Intel review (linked above). As such, if you want the best gaming CPU, this is it. On occasions, the AMD X3D CPUs are mighty.
Thanks to that massive vertically stacked L3 cache, the X3D desktop processors, including the 9800X3D, also come with the benefit of not needing fast memory. Even DDR5-5600 should be plenty for it.
