Amazon has announced that its biggest Prime Day event to date will begin in a week on July 8 and run until July 11. The extended event will feature deals across 35 categories from top brands. New deals will appear regularly, sometimes as soon as every five minutes during select periods allowing Prime members to check back regularly for new offers.
While deals will be across all of the categories on Amazon, I’m willing to bet that most readers will be wondering about the tech deals they’ll be able to get next week. Well, Amazon will see up to 40% discounts on TVs from Samsung, Sony, LG, and Hisense; up to 40% off on chargers and speakers from Anker; up to 40% off Samsung Chromebooks; up to 30% off ASUS laptops; up to 35% off on Samsung tablets; and savings on Amazon device bundles like the Echo Dot Kids bundle with Echo Glow and Fire 7 Kids tablet bundle with 12 months of Kids+ and a backpack.
To take part in the event, you will need Prime membership which gives you a whole range of perks, including faster delivery times. Normally, Prime membership costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year, but you can participate in the Prime Day event by grabbing a free trial using our affiliate link. Aside from the vanilla Prime membership, Amazon also offers Prime for Young Adults with a six-month trial, then you pay a discounted rate of $7.49 per month or $69 per year for a membership.
There is also a discounted Prime membership for qualifying government-assistance recipients and income-verified customers; these customers can get Prime for just $6.99 per month.
Be sure to check out Neowin over this period to ensure you’re really grabbing the best deals. We verify whether the prices of products are really at a good discount or if brands are just trying to pull the wool over your eyes. Using our links to make Amazon purchases also supports Neowin at no extra cost to you.
