Apple offers 15-inch MacBook Pro with matte display option

Yup, that"s right. Apple have extended the matte display option on customised orders from Apple.com to the 15-inch MacBook Pros. For $50 more, you get a screen less susceptible to glare from light (particularly the sun), with supposedly less vibrant colours, no glass screen, and a silver bezel as opposed to a black bezel.

The news follows rumours that Apple were considering extending the matte option from the 17-inch MacBook Pro to its other offerings, but it remains to be seen whether or not this trend will continue. With the 13-inch now a part of the Pro family, could the baby Pro be the next in line for the antiglare option?
