Today, Apple released its latest software update for Macs, macOS 10.13.2 High Sierra. The timing is a bit odd, as the firm usually releases all four of its updates at the same time; instead, it"s been doing one every day, with iOS 11.2 being released over the weekend, tvOS 11.2 coming on Monday, and watchOS 4.2 arriving yesterday.
What"s also strange is that Apple has been holding back the security content for all of these updates, until now. As for macOS, 10.13.2 fixes a range of vulnerabilities that have to do with apache, curl, Directory Utility, Intel Graphics Driver, IOAcceleratorFamily, IOKit, Kernel, Mail, Mail Drafts, OpenSSL, and Screen Sharing Server.
Other than introductory pricing for auto-renewing subscriptions, there aren"t any front-facing improvements in this update. It mostly focuses on maintenance, improving compatibility with USB audio devices, VoiceOver navigation when viewing PDF documents in Preview, and compatibility of Braille displays with Mail.
