Apple's iCloud Mail and Notes down for some users

Apple has acknowledged that its iCloud Mail and Notes services are down for some users. According to its System Status support page, both of these services “may be unavailable for some users", at the time of writing.

Frustrated users have, inevitably, taken to their Twitter accounts to complain about the outage. Apple has since tweeted that the issue is being fixed but hasn"t explained what is causing the issue.

The outage has been ongoing for several hours and Apple believes that just 0.86% of iCloud users have been affected.
