Battlefield 6 is free-to-play for an entire week starting tomorrow

Battlefield 6 was a record-breaking launch for EA, with the publisher already calling the game the "Best Selling Shooter of 2025." Now, probably to break even more records, it is opening up the title to everyone for a short while, letting gamers try the multiplayer out and see what all the hype is about.

The Battlefield 6 Season 1 Free Trial is kicking off tomorrow. November 25, at 4am PT and running until December 2 at 4am PT. The week of chaos is being offered across PC and consoles. All progress from the trial week will also carry forward into the full game for anyone who decides to purchase the game as well.

Other than not including the single-player campaign, keep in mind that this isn"t the entirety of Battlefield 6 multiplayer that"s being offered. The free trial will have three playlists to jump into. This will let free-to-play players experience three maps: Siege of Cairo, Blackwell Fields, and the recently released Eastwood. These will be playable across multiple game modes like Conquest, Escalation, Initiation Breakthrough, Team Death Match, and Domination.

Soon after announcing that Battlefield 6 had sold over seven million copies at launch last month, EA also released Battlefield REDSEC as a standalone 100-player free-to-play battle royale. There is good news for players who have unlocks on that too.

"If you already play REDSEC, all your progress - Career Rank, Hardware Unlocks and Levels, Customization items, etc. - carries over to this Free Trial," explains the developer. "All that progress also carries over to the full Battlefield 6 experience upon purchase; this Free Trial is your opportunity to try before you buy and keep everything you earn when it’s over."

Battlefield 6 Season 1 Free Trial is going live via the Battlefield REDSEC client, which is already a free download across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5
