After launching the AirPods Pro 3, Apple has announced yet another True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, this time under its Beats brand, with an all-new series, the Powerbeats Fit. The latest earbuds come with a more flexible wingtip, a smaller and portable case, and many more features.
The Powerbeats Fit can be viewed as an evolution of the Beats Fit Pro series, as it comes with a similar sporty and secure fit with wingtips made for a variety of ear shapes.
Apple’s vice president of Music, Sports, and Beats, Oliver Schusser, said:
“Reintroducing Beats Fit Pro as Powerbeats Fit — alongside Powerbeats Pro 2 — unifies our lineup under a name synonymous with athletic performance and gives customers a clearer choice between two distinct, fitness-first form factors. Powerbeats Fit combines the best of Beats Fit Pro with next-level comfort, durability, and portability—making it a worthy addition to the Powerbeats family.”
The new design includes four eartip sizes (XS to L) so that users can choose the most comfortable eartip for them. Both the earbuds and the charging case now come with an IPX4 sweat and water resistance rating, which means users can use them during workouts as well as in rough weather conditions.
Beats says that the sound quality on the Powerbeats Fit is driven by a custom acoustic platform with proprietary drivers. The earbuds are powered by Apple"s H1 chip and integrate smoothly with Apple devices, just like AirPods. They also support Apple"s Personalized Spatial Audio, with dynamic head tracking. Other features similar to AirPods include Adaptive EQ, which fine-tunes sound based on fit and seal, while Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Transparency Mode are also supported.
There"s also support for automatic switching between devices, audio sharing, hands-free “Hey Siri,” Find My, and more. Beats has an Android app where users can get features like one-touch pairing, battery insights, Fit Test, and more customization options.
Beats says that the Powerbeats Fit offers up to 30 hours of battery life with the case, and 7 hours per earbud on a single charge. The earbuds come with fast charging, which Beats calls "Fast Fuel", with a five-minute charge giving around an hour of playback.
Beats Powerbeats Fit are priced at $199.99 and are available to order now in the U.S., with units rolling onto shelves starting October 2.
