Black Friday 2011: Microsoft Store offers up some goods

Black Friday 2011 is only a few hours away and if you live near one of Microsoft"s retail store locations you will be able to join in the savings on various products. As with other retailers this year, Microsoft"s retail stores across the nation will open starting at midnight tonight in their respective time zones. One of the deals is if you buy a PC from a Microsoft Store location between midnight and 6 am on Black Friday you will also get an extra $100 in the form of a Microsoft Store gift card.

In addition to the physical store sales, Microsoft is also holding some Black Friday price cuts at its official web site starting at 12 am Pacific Time (3 am Eastern time). The web site has a preview of the various deals that will be offered. Some of the deals will be online only. One is the Sony Vaio S137GX notebook which will be sold for $599 on Black Friday, a $400 price cut from its normal price of $999.

Other deals, both online and in store, include Xbox 360 game console bundles, free Windows Phone devices (with a two year contract), discounts on Microsoft Office software products and more. All of these deals are scheduled to end on Monday, November 28.
