There is another new giveaway happening on the Epic Games Store, as the weekly refresh has just gone through. Replacing last week"s Return to Ash visual novel offer, two titles have now landed for all PC gamers, them being The Boxes: Lost Fragments and My Night Job. The two well-received games are yours to add permanently to your Epic Games Store library within the next seven days.
From the duo, Boxes: Lost Fragments lands as a puzzle game from Big Loop Studios, where you, as a "legendary thief," must solve a series of puzzle boxes with mystical properties. Each box uses different mechanisms and hidden aspects, where you"ll be rotating and shifting parts to find solutions. There is a built-in hints system for anyone who is stuck on any level too.
"Inspired by the cryptic atmosphere, intricate machinery, and smooth controls of the best room escape games, we have created a diverse set of original puzzle levels that will test your resolve and skills to navigate this mysterious and compelling journey," adds the developer. "Each level is beautiful, unique, and a true delight to explore and figure out."
Next, My Night Job is an arcade action game inspired by old-school brawlers. Players are sent into an abandoned mansion that"s somehow full of monsters and people in need of rescue.
The game touts 11 types of monsters to beat up, over 60 unique weapons to wield (including vases, floor lamps, chainsaws, and shotguns), in-game bonuses for earned achievements, and tough battles as time goes on.
"Black night, an abandoned mansion and a bunch of monsters. Sounds like the perfect job," says developer Webcore Games. "Players will have to use a variety of weapons to save their skin and master the challenge of leading survivors to safety, while also defending the building from invaders."
The Boxes: Lost Fragments and My Night Job giveaways are now live on the Epic Games Store. PC gamers can add the duo to their library for no cost during the seven-day timeframe before the next freebie arrives on March 5. Boxes is also available to claim on the Epic Games Store on mobile for free this week.
