CA to support Microsoft Exchange 2003

Add-ons include monitoring and data protection capabilities

Computer Associates (CA) yesterday announced support for Microsoft"s latest release of its Exchange email and collaboration suite.

CA confirmed that its Unicenter Management for Microsoft Exchange, BrightStor ARCserve Backup and BrightStor Enterprise Backup will provide customers implementing Exchange 2003 with comprehensive monitoring and data protection capabilities not included in the standalone product.

Don LeClair, a vice president at CA, said: "Organisations today are more dependent than ever on their messaging systems."

Kevin McCuistion, director of Exchange marketing at Microsoft, added: "Microsoft appreciates CA"s ongoing commitment to the Exchange platform and to meeting the management and data protection needs of our mutual customers.

"Unicenter and BrightStor solutions will be important to Microsoft Exchange users."
