Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has 18 launch maps, adds wall jumps to Omnimovement

The next Call of Duty is only a couple of months from launch, and it looks like Activision is preparing a massive launch for the multiplayer fans. Confirmed today, Black Ops 7 will be launching with 18 maps total for player versus player action, including remastered fan favorites like Express, Hijacked, and Raid.

Below are the new and returning maps included in the full game, as well as what players can expect to see during the beta.

Core 6v6 Maps:

  • Blackheart (Beta)
  • Cortex (Beta)
  • Exposure (Beta)
  • Imprint (Beta)
  • The Forge (Beta)
  • Toshin (Beta)
  • Colossus
  • Den
  • Flagship
  • Homestead
  • Paranoia
  • Retrieval
  • Scar
  • Express (Returning from Black Ops 2)
  • Hijacked (Returning from Black Ops 2)
  • Raid (Returning from Black Ops 2)

Skirmish Maps:

  • Mission: Edge
  • Mission: Tide

To traverse these maps while taking out opponents, the development teams are bringing back Omnimovement, but with upgrades. Wall jumps are now a feature in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, letting players hop between vertical surfaces to reach higher surfaces or chain longer routes together smoothly. Three wall jumps can be linked together for maximizing the momentum-based parkouring system.

At the same time, Tactical Sprint is now removed from the movement set, with it only available as an optional perk that can be equipped by players that want it. Moreover, a Body Shield mechanic has been added that lets players push a captured body forward with a grenade attached to surprise any incoming enemies.

30 weapons in total will be available at launch for multiplayer in Black Ops 7 as well, with 16 of them being brand-new to the franchise. This includes assault rifles, SMGs, shotguns, LMGs, marksman rifles, snipers, pistols, launchers, and melee weaponry.

The massive multiplayer breakdown that Treyarch and Raven Software dropped today can be read here, which details every single map, weapon, scorestreak, level progression, loadout, and much more.

Ahead of launch, a beta will be kicking off on October 2 for those who pre-order any version of Black Ops 7 or are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Everyone else will be able to join in for free starting October 5 and play until October 8.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is releasing on November 14, 2025, across PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. It will also be available on Game Pass day one. The title is set in 2035, ten years after the events of Black Ops II, following David "Section" Mason. Check out the cooperative campaign"s details over here.
