Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 comes to Xbox One Backward Compatibility

Today, Microsoft only added one new title to the Xbox One Backward Compatibility list, but it"s a big one. You can now play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the Xbox One family of gaming consoles.

This now completes the set of Modern Warfare games on the Backward Compatibility list. Back in March, Microsoft added Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 showed up in June.

Developer Infinity Ward brings you Modern Warfare 2, the long-awaited sequel to the best-selling shooter of all-time, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

To make matters even better, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is part of this week"s Deals with Gold. If you"re an Xbox Live Gold subscriber, you can pick up the game at the discounted price of $14.99.

Today, Microsoft also announced next month"s Games with Gold. Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to claim four games for free, including Prison Architect: Xbox One Edition (Xbox One), Livelock (Xbox One), LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (Xbox 360), and Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World (Xbox 360).
