Castle Crashers for PC announced

Sometimes it can take months for a console game to finally make its PC debut. However, the team over at developer The Behemoth decided to wait for four years before bringing its downloadable game Castle Crashers to the PC platform.

Today, the team announced that the game will soon be making its PC debut via Steam (there"s no specific release date yet). The Xbox 360 version was released on August 29, 2008 and the team launched a Playstation 3 version in 2010. The 2D side scrolling action game features four small (and very cute looking) medieval knights as they battle against various foes large and small. The game support up to four players in co-op mode and also allows players to gain new weapons and items after collecting coins from their enemies.

Since the PC version is being released via Steam, it will also support Steamworks features such as achievements, cloud save game support and more. Both local and online co-op modes will be available and it will have two additional modes; the Arena mode for deathmatch or team play and the Insane mode, which the Behemoth says "the ultimate campaign challenge.
