Check out Samsung's newest Odyssey monitors for budget gamers

Samsung today has launched its new 2021 lineup of Odyssey gaming monitors and they are available for purchase globally today. Unlike last time where the company offered more premium options, this time Samsung has decided that it will instead bring a more budget-friendly product to the market as well. As such, there is a new 24" G3 model as well. In total, there are four new monitors and they all look similar with thin bezels on top and the sides. Each of them is an IPS display with a 178-degree viewing angle. Their differences in specs have been listed below:

Also unlike last time, all of these monitors, from the G7 down to the G3, come with a flat-screen display. So if you were looking for a less expensive curved gaming monitor, this is not it.

The monitors support Picture-by-Picture (PBP) and Picture-in-Picture (PIP) modes. In the former, the screen splits to display two inputs side by side while PIP mode displays the secondary source as a separate window. More than two inputs may be supported as well but that information hasn"t been provided.

In terms of gaming features, the G7 features FreeSync Premium Pro while the G5 and G3 have FreeSync Premium. They are all rated G-SYNC Compatible. And while the native aspect ratio of the monitors is 16:9, the G7 and the G5 feature "Ultrawide Game View" that can stretch the aspect ratio to 21:9. The two monitors also feature the company"s gamer-friendly Super Arena Gaming UX OSD interface.
