Copilot is Microsoft"s latest obsession, and the company wants it to be your latest obsession too. We recently learned that the AI service can now access Windows Settings to help you in customizing your PC, tap into third-party services to create Office documents, and more. Now, Microsoft has revealed some upcoming features that could actually be very useful for some customers.
The headliner here is undoubtedly the ability to search your calendar through Microsoft 365 Copilot. This can be particularly beneficial if your schedule is overloaded with meetings and you find it difficult to recall what topic you"re discussing with which people on a specific day. You can simply leverage Copilot to ask natural language questions like "next quarterly planning session", and Copilot will show you the full context of that particular meeting. It doesn"t matter if the meeting happened previously or is yet to take place; you"ll get the full details, thanks to Copilot. On the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, this feature has been tagged with the ID 501454, with a preview expected this month and general availability scheduled for next month.
Another nifty update coming to Copilot in December 2025 is the extensibility of Copilot Connectors, which will soon sport integration with Zendesk Help Center, Freshservice, Egnyte, and AWS S3.
There are a couple more enhancements landing soon, too, designed to boost productivity further. Copilot Chat will be able to utilize meeting recordings to generate notes and pair them with short snippets from the meeting to give you a recap of what transpired during meetings. Similarly, Copilot Notebooks will gain the ability to generate videos that will summarize your notebook content, too. Both these capabilities are arriving in November 2025.
Of course, this is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of what"s coming next to Microsoft 365 and Copilot. You can head over to the dedicated Microsoft 365 Roadmap here to find out more.
