Corporations Blow Off Windows XP

It looks like Microsoft is going to have a really tough sell to convince corporations to upgrade to Windows XP. A new poll showed that 52.5% of IT managers have decided not to upgrade, while another 25% are still considering it.

Many corporations are already in the process of upgrading - to Windows 2000. They won"t consider jumping up to XP so quickly. Also, the economic conditions have tightened many budgets, and XP is expensive.

"From what I can tell, there"s not really any compelling reason to want to undertake the task to go from Windows 2000 to XP," said a university computer specialist. "There doesn"t appear to be any additional value."
