Crytek announces Crysis Remastered Trilogy, launches this fall

Crytek brought back Crysis with a remaster last year, giving players another opportunity to find out if their systems can indeed run it. Now, after several weeks of teasers, the studio has confirmed it is tackling a remaster of the complete trilogy for all modern platforms. Catch the teaser trailer above.

Touched up campaigns of all three games will be included in this bundle for modern platforms. Considering the second and third games never reached even the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 console generation – excluding Xbox backward compatibility –, this is a great opportunity for FPS fans to climb back into the Nanosuit.

Crytek has partnered up with Saber Interactive for developing the two remaining remasters. "Each game is enhanced to look and play beautifully on today"s platforms, delivering the finest Crysis experience for both newcomers to our classic franchise or players wishing to relive the adventure," Project Lead Steffen Halbig adds.

The games will be available this fall as a bundle via the Crysis Remastered Trilogy and as separate purchases akin to the first remaster. PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch, as well as Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 platforms are the platform targets. As expected, Crytek said the newer generation consoles will deliver a smoother experience compared to older systems.
