The company today announced the Latitude 7220 Rugged Extreme, a tablet that can handle four-foot drops, and extreme temperatures between -20 and 145 degrees Fahrenheit. It"s MIL-STD-810H tested, so it"s tough; it"s IP65 rated for dust and water resistance as well.
The tablet comes with an 11.6-inch 1080p display that goes up to 1,000 nits brightness, along with anti-glare and anti-smudge coatings, so it shouldn"t be a problem in direct sunlight. It uses Intel"s Whiskey Lake CPUs, and comes with up to 16GB RAM and up to a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD. In the connectivity department, it supports up to Wi-Fi 6, and you can get it with a Snapdragon X20 4G LTE modem for cellular connectivity.
