Enterprise app developer claims continued Windows 8 success

A few weeks ago, we reported that business app developer Extended Results claimed to have had a quite a bit of success with its PUSHBI app for Windows 8. As we noted before, the free app, which works with both Windows 8 and RT devices, gives businesses a way to view their company information and stats on the go.

Five weeks after the app was released, Extended Results said it had over 2,500 downloads and that it was generating "extra 15 to 20 new business leads a week". Today, the company released an update on its blog which stated, "Since the launch of our title, we have had over 7,653 downloads. That is not too bad for an Enterprise business application. We have added an extra download an hour since the 1st update 5 weeks ago."

Furthermore, the blog stated that the app is now creating "35 to 50 new leads a week." which is about double what it was doing five weeks ago. It added, "Again, we are selling enterprise business software so just a few good leads a day is great.  And our pipeline is in the 8 digit range now.  Sweet."

While we can"t really tell the success of an app ecosystem based on just one software program, it does seem that at least some developers are finding success in creating apps for Windows 8 and RT.
